DR. SUSHMA PATEL

Dr. Patel took over the practice from Dr. Mazur in 2018. She is an experienced Optometrist who grew up in southern New Jersey. She received her Bachelors degree in Biology and Psychology at Rutgers University. She then went on to receive her doctorate degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry where she completed an advanced track in Pediatrics and Vision Therapy. After graduate school, Dr. Patel completed a postdoctoral residency at the New Jersey VA Hospital specializing in ocular disease and primary eye care. Her residency has also made her a skilled practioner in low vision and geriatric patients. Additionally, Dr. Patel is proficient in fitting a variety of contact lenses ranging from soft, astigmatism, multifocal, hard, and specialty lenses. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband and son, cooking, and spending time with her family.
